Wow, we're toasting here. According to weather.com, the high temperature in our city yesterday was 105 F. Now at 4pm (Sunday) it's 101 F. I just took a nap with the fan blowing at me...still a bit hot. So I went and got some ice cream...ok, better...but soon after i finish my ice cream, it's feeling very hot again. So I get some juice & put ice in it...but every time i stop drinking & put it down, it feels very hot again.  I think I might need to get the fan & blow it at myself to stay cool...otherwise I'll get nothing done besides ice cream eating & juice drinking...and that's not good. Our thermostat reads 91 F downstairs...and it's even hotter upstairs.... Probably in the next couple of hours we can open up the windows & start cooling down the house.... It's days like these that I'm glad I don't live more inland or somewhere that's hotter than here. Hmmm...if we keep getting this kind of weather, I may actually break down & agree to get air conditioning for the house.... Thankfully, I think it's supposed to start cooling down a little tomorrow.... Do you have any hot weather stories to share?

I thought this was so cool (& funny too) that I saved it in my growing pile of "stuff to do" since February (my stuff to do was to post it on my xanga). Anyway, here it is:

"From a Christian perspective, erasers are in fact, rubber manifestations of Christ. (My thought: "...huh???"  )  The erasers clean our filthy paper. Similarly, Christ cleans us from the secular impurities of the world. The erasers must sacrifice themselves for the good of the paper. Similarly, Christ sacrificed Himself for the good of the world." ("...Oh, I get it!!! Cool!"  ) Below the article is a photo of 6 cute little bunny erasers from the writer's eraser collection. I never really thought of erasers "sacrificing" themselves, but this picture helped me to see it .

Anyway, thanks to JL for sharing this in the Valentines Day Issue of the school newspaper!

Hooray! It's finally summer vacation! Things were so busy before school let out. I definitely neglected my xanga connections & barely got a chance to check email at times.  This week has been nice & quiet. Making progress in cleaning the house. Good to get stuff done. Haven't started my summer "chauffering" duties yet. Oh, I finally got an SN!!! Haha! Hopefully, I won't be glued to the computer because of it. I definitely draw the line at MySpace, though...no, no... no MySpace for me. Haha!

Yay, we're having EASTER break (no, not "spring" break)! Went & played tennis today since there was a break in the rain. It ended up showering on us while we were playing, but it was still good.

On the subject of Easter, did you know that at Baker's Square they're advertising that you can reserve your "Spring" pies now (instead of Easter pies)?   Even the Easter bunny is now becoming the "Spring" bunny! This politically correctness stuff is getting ridiculous... So is it politically incorrect for all these people who get Good Friday or even Christmas off from work??

Well, at least I know that it's still really EASTER!

Ooh, now I have another active technical consultant!

No, DDaveEE, I didn't know that 'therez a way where u can put it as "this song" instead of http://whateverwhatever as displayed on (my) site.' Actually, I think I know what you mean, but i don't know how to do it...guess I'm still considered a newbie...or is it a noobie...or just computer challenged???  So tell me how, k?

btw, for those who may be interested, if you click on http://whateverwhatever, you'll come up with:

The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

Haha! I don't know what inspired me to try & see if there's really a http://whateverwhatever!!!
